I drove one of the VRS' and they are f**king way faster than my clio in the higher gears low down in the rev range. PLant your foot and the thing flies from 40-50 onwards. From start not qute as fast as our beloved 182 but a respectable low 8 secs 0-60mph i say.
I think they can be chipped...
i would go for "better" speaker cable if i was you. you can pick up some cheap QED silver anniversary for pennies.
can i ask why you are getting this set up and sourcing from a PC? do you think it will soud ok? i suppose from a good sound card it might be even better than CD as a source.
are they slick(ish) type tyres?
i have seen some slick tyres on an elise . the tread (or slits) were almost non exsitent more of a token gesture really.

the newer ones are a bit pricey. £30 not bad for a couple of hours of fun IMHO. i havent got one yet but i'm 99% sure i will be ordering one in a few days.

Thats what the geezer at the dealer suggested might be the problem. But he thought it wouldnt be something that happened too often.

I was thinking that and checked the light but it wasnt on and i have checked the handbraje to see if it was right down each time too.
I also mentioned to the dealer that the handbrake was a bit loose as it needs to be cranked up quite high when i am on a steepish slope otherwise i slip ...
