Renault marketing department have an appalling record for spouting bullsheet, in an attempt to big up the car they are selling. Clio 172 being 172bhp - it wasn't Clio 182 being 182bhp - it wasn't Clio 197 diffuser being functional - it isn't etc etc

Why would the amount of owners put you off??? If it was 6 owners in a very short space of time then I'd be worried, in this instance it's fine. The 172 isnt for everyone.

FWD cars do not need a rear spoiler, as they are useless. Ask yourself why a FWD car would need the rear wheels forced into the ground, when actually its the front ones that need the downforce. The BTCC cars all have spoilers, but this is for aesthetics. They have even admitted this.

another thumbs up for the Megane splitter. It doesnt necessarily have to come from a Megane Sport though. I found mine this morning on a 5 door Megane, and it cost me £10.

Britannia Garage in Cleadon. I've taken all my cars there, including my VXT when I had it. Cheap as chips, and they recently did all of my belts for about £140ish (I supplied the belts/water pump etc) on my 172 Cup.

Could nearly have been me, had it been in the other direction!

Changing a couple of bumpers, tacking some side skirts on and changing the wheels? Doesnt sound like fun to me.

Price of 172 = £3500 Price of 1.2 with 172 bodykit, alloys and interior = £4000 Even if you can find a 1.2 with a 172 bodykit already on, you still have to tell the insurance company what modifications it has. Makes no sense. Just wait.
