Was this from a sport to a non sport? If so the airbag lights should've come on shouldn't they?
Ahh okay, so if I got the ones without airbags then it wouldn't throw up the warning lights on the dashboard like it would do with the ones with airbags?
All looking very tidy ;) Definitely approve of the foot well lights :) Even match my colour ;)
Will definitely subscribe to see any updates seems as yours is a pretty similar colour to mine :)
Out of interest, what colour code is yours? And also, where did you get those pedals from, they look...
Hi guys,
I really want to change my seats as the standard ones look pants!
Obviously I looked into getting sports seats but I don't want my airbags to not work, I'd rather keep the safety aspect tbh :L
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance! :) :)
Thank you :)
Ahh okay, Googled it and couldn't see anything on it :L
Couldn't remember what it was called! Cheers :)
Awesome, might invest in some of those when I've got the money then!
Gutted, looks pretty cool - I cba to go to a lot of trouble just to install it, just thought if it was a...
Hi guys, had a few things on my mind that I wanted to ask!
1. Is it a straight swap to install Clio Sport Xenon Headlights to a Non-Sport?
2. I noticed on an old thread 2 mods were mentioned that I wasn't familiar with - RS Tuner and Whiteline RARB? What are these mods?
3. Is it possible to...
Sorry, I've just spotted this thread - How are you going about getting light into the back? What's the plan? :) I've done footwell LEDs but I always think that the back could use a little extra light!
Warning: Long post!
So, I've finally finished all of my spraying! Day off today (well, I started at 6 and finished just after 8) so I decided to do my rear diamond :)
From this:
To this:
If I hadn't have colour coded the button I really don't think this would've worked, but I have an it...
So here are the results of yesterday's PlastiDipping!
I like it but I'll see how it goes, if I decide I don't then I can just peel it off! :)
Will make an attempt on the rear diamond this week - Was going to do it tonight but it's too late now (well that's my excuse anyway!) ;):p
I think you misunderstood what I meant, I meant that when I was fitting the colour coded boot button I was looking at the glued badge ;) But thanks for the info on that part :)
How did you go about unglue-ing the diamond from the surround that it's in? Just by pulling or did you scrape the glue off?
So, I managed to sucessfully PlastiDip both parts tonight! They both look great! I'm going to leave them to dry overnight as they reccommend 4 hours minimum so I'm sure they'll be fine by 9ish tomorrow morning!
As I said previously I just need to do the rear diamond - (I found it so much easier...
So, now that I've colour coded the boot button I thought I may as well start to PlastiDip the diamonds and also the 'Clio' badge - Going to do the front diamond and 'Clio' badge this evening as they're the easiest to remove and sort out and then (hopefully) later this week I'll take the boot...
Haha, I know, reading it like that makes it sound like a lot! But I waa a lot of advice given to me was to do lots of coats but to make them thin, especially with the lacquer - So I made sure to do so :)
And I hope it'll last too!
You guys both misunderstood what I said - Apologies, I must've worded it badly!
I sanded the button before starting with increasing wet and dry so that it was smooth, I then spayed it with 4 coats of grey primer, then with 4 coats of TED69 halfords paint, then 4 coats of lacquer! :)
What I meant...
So, I managed to sucessfully colour code my boot button! All done without sanding the primer or lacquer! I got pretty lucky I think as it looks great :)
Before:
After:
s**t comparison with the natural light vs. the flash but you get the point!
Only issue I found though is that once I put...
So, I went ahead and did it all and didn't bother spraying it (apprehensively may I add) but I actually think it turned out okay - What do you guys think?
Well pissed off with myself - Had some LED brake lights arrive today but they're more dim than the halogen (or whatever) bulbs! My fault though, went for bog standard LEDs rather than ones with LEDs on the sides as well! So I'll be sending those back!
That LED conversion looks damn sexy! I wish I was as confident as you to do something like that! Maybe in the future I may give that a try!
Looking forward to seeing what you're going to do with the coilovers and wheels ;)
