cheers Nick and robby
i've had Sony ICE (headunits and speakers) in the past and tbh i've always been disappointed with it (sound and build quality wise). It does look nice and i'm sure they have came along way since i last used any Sony bits, i'm going to have a look at a few tomorrow so will...
Yeh same name so obv a bit dodgy, doesnt mean the parts dont exisit but not all above board since he's already ripped off a couple of guys on here
basically pick parts up in person or not at all ! and give him a slap for the 2 that got ripped off while your there...
washed 4 times a week and polished twice a week, if he's not talking out his ass then i'm surprised it's not down to bare metal lol !
bit weird that he's spent £450+ on it in the past week and then puts it up for that price....
looks amazing (apart from the yellow), surprised they just cut around some of the parts and never removed them (lights etc..)
the white 430 looked mint, even didn't mind the stripes as much on it
had a look at a few of the videos and the Alpine does look quality, one thing that was bugging me about it is that the text seemed to be constantly hanging off the screen, even in the settings menu etc..
the Kenwood look really good aswell but just not as 'flash' with the menu's like the...
haha so thats all the time then ! he has a name you know ;) trust me this isn't the last spam that Danny's going to see on here so he might aswell get used to it now lol !
welcome along mate, always good to have another Fifer on board !
get some pics up of the motor
Jen - are you the new resident CS welcome party btw :rasp: you seem to pop up everywhere lol ! or you just trying to get your post count up....
cheers coxy i actually like the look of that, copying the button layout of the iPod and the scroll bar is a nice touch, will go on the list to have a look at
the 'plasticky' and not well built feel of the facia isn't exactly great but i'm guessing the other ida's will be the same, one of the really good things about the other 'normal' Alpine headunits are how sturdy and well made they feel
all other points sound promising though cheers gents, just...
cheers Justin, yeh i like the look of the colour screen
you ever used one ? if you have then whats the menu like to navigate ?
i'll be going to find somewhere localish thats got some of them in to try but just trying to narrow down the search
Looking to get a new headunit for the Evo but it's been a while since i last went on the search for a headunit so not quite in touch with the latest models.
Criteria for the new headunit:
Alpine (always had Alpine and always will)
Has to be iPhone compatible (charging would be a plus aswell)...
sorry to hijack btw Dave :o
theduck - i was refering to what bic had said about the Ktec bonnets having a gel coat instead of clearcoat/laquer
kam racing - cheers mate never heard of a gel coat before bic mentioned it in his post below so was new to me
even on a gel coat ?
good news if thats the case as mines a ktec bonnet and will be leaving a bit of carbon showing but different to what your doing Dave
what make of carbon bonnet you got ?
have a wee look at this thread (esp bic's post on page 2)
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?436493-Carbon-Bonnet-Lacquer-fail&highlight=ktec+carbon
i've got a carbon bonnet and thinking about getting it sprayed aswell mate, the only thing i'm not sure about is i've heard some carbon parts have a gel type coat on top/instead of laquer so not sure how this would affect spraying/keying
depends what wheel size your talking about mate, i'm sure they were about £35/40 a wheel up to 17" and about £45/50 for 18" but that was a while ago, they used to ask you to take the tyres off before giving the wheels but not sure if they will do it for you these days, best getting in touch with...
supposedly the colours are more of a gimmick and any wax will work on any colour paint, i'm wondering whether to go with the ones meant for white or just go for say the purple haze
usually hate clio's slammed within a mm of it's life but yours pulls it off well mate, looks quality
never understood why people go for the smooth 'euro' type look then put stickers on it though
please whatever you do don't put a stupid bonnet bra on it, quite like it with the smaller...
