Think it depends on whether the next clio rs will have a turbo engine or not. If the 200 is last time the 2L N/A engine is used in a renaultsport version i can see a bit of a swan song version, not as extreme as the R26.R just a few tweaks and a bit of weight loss.
Would be up for a mini meet to inspect the work and photo's. At the time you were just being passed by another car, so only got a couple of seconds glance
Heading south bound on the A34 about 9:20pm, yesterday, i was heading north bound in a REAL V6 ;)- but i don't think anyone else could tell the difference!
LY PH2 :o
Totally unbiased! The cynics will come along and say just voting for what we have, but when looking for a vee, i wanted a LY one- only option is mk2.
You did right telling her she was going to use her insurance company, obviously inform your own insurance company of this, with all her details, it will help if you need, for whatever reason, take the matter to court later on.
Never saw them, but at my local shell station, in stone, there was a note up saying that top gear would be doing some filming and sorry for the inconvenience.
From what i've hear it is, but the guys at birchdown know what they're doing and reckon day 1 will be stipping it down, the water pump is also being replace, and re-building it, day 2 will be final checks and putting all trim etc back, test drive and MOT. Day 3 it'll be re united with one very...
I've not so much got an expensive month but an expensive week. 4 weeks time the vee is off for its cambelt service and mot, it'll also get professionally detailed and insurance for the year paid. Comes in at around £2500! Also just paid the tax too.
Have to admit i ain't done these roads since i've had the vee, but they were fantastic in the 197 cup!
I'm contemplating going, just need to see if i can leave work early on the sun morning.
Tbh i think either would do a cracking job, just waiting for the bottom line, only problem if i go to scott i may end up doubling the bill with some recaro's!:o
I feel your pain dawn, in the next few weeks i have the vee's tax (£215), just had to have a rear tyre (£211), got an insurance renewal of just under a grand, needs the service which is around £1200 plus the cost of getting back/to the car at the workshop, either going to be sg motorsport or...
If dates are good i may pop down.
Only problem is the amount of LY cars, at best i would image a turn out of 5 -20 to be good!
Edit: Maybe best, if its latter in the summer to post fliers to all LY owners at the national meet in april.
Have to be honest it was holdcroft crewe i had the issue with, brought 2 cars from the hanley one but the aftersales, service departments have been shocking. Getting better but still not up to standard. The one time holdcroft hanley had the vee they did a cracking job, admittedly it was only a...
Most late plated 172 will be parallel imports brought from motor superstores (personal experience) but that still don't take away from the fact it looks mint. Btw its nothing to worry about as long as the price is right.
Toughest poll yet. I've had both. Loved both and would have either again. Imo, for its sheer brilliance, better built, better place to be and with the recaro's surprisingly comfortable i would have to say 197. Although i did prefer the power delivery and economy of the 172.
That rules out the holdcroft demonstrator, flying down the 500 in stoke outside Knights BMW, saw you from the forecourt , around 3ish, I'm thinking matt?
