I was just kidding before...
Never driven a GTI, but I keep on reading on here that nothing is quicker than a Clio around corners...apart from a Trophy :star:
Need to spend some money on mods I d say.
Valver is 8.9 0-60 I just read. The GTI is around 7.3 so get ur wallet out ;)
The GTI isnt much slower than a 182...in a straight line.
Would get destroyed in the twisties though I reckon...:clown:
Found a Transformer here, but it would cost me 230 Euros...^^ Big rip off.
I think I'll be buying the Makita BO6040.
Thx for all the replies though.

What do u think of this one ?
Looks good to me. Same working as with a PC I'd say.
But what I havent found out yet is if is suitable for smaller pads?
Its the XC 3401 VRG
Hey Rich,
So that would be the only additional cost that would be involved in getting a PC to work here?
I found some, but they looked not suitable for outdoor use...Anyone knows a site where I can order a waterproof one or something?
Got no choice then...But for the moment Im so confused with 110V then 220V, 240V, plugs etc.
Then, here is again different from the UK.
So I would need: A waterproof transformer (to go from 110V to 220V..right?),
then I would need an adaptor for the plug (eurostyle), which somehow has to be...
Hmmkay...So looks like the Porte Cable is the thing to have then. And it does not exist in european form or anything?
Rich: Do u know of any model that can be compared to the PC ?
Thank you for your replies.
Hi,
im from Luxembourg, so I cant be arsed to import a PC etc...
Just surfed the internet a bit, and I found some other polishing machines.
So I wanted to ask for some suggestions. There is one called Matika 9227CB, and one Matika BO6040.
Dont know which one suits my needs best. The...
Now that s**ks...
I sure want to lower my car on coilies in the near future...
So no leggies for me then???
Are there any comparable wheels (in terms of weight) on the market?
Really wanted the ultraleggis now...:dapprove:
Thanx. I took a look at the thread mentioned above, but how come the ultraleggis are configurable in many shops with 205 45 16 tyres?
45 being the et or did I miss something?
Being right in thinking the 205 45 16 tyres fitting the ultraleggis, what would be the problem to deal with?
Hmmm...The guy in the shop didnt mention anything about this.
Can this be confirmed by anybody?
Yes it probably would...But would get very expensive too no? What would u spent for respraying 4 wheels? Are they getting sprayed on or what are the different techniques used to do that?
Tim
Hi there,
Just went to my local wheeldealer to buy some new wheels + alloys for my artic 182.
Will go for 4*205/45/16 PE2's and 4*16" OZ Ultraleggera.
The thing is i'm very unsure about the color. Asked him to order one set of anthracite ones and one in silver, so I could decide easier, but...
How can anyone do this to their cars??
I'd prefer to get the bonnet resprayed once a year, than to have this brathing on for a minute.
But yeah...If u like it :star:
Hi there everyone,
Got an artic blue 182 with the white stripes on it.
Dont know wheter to get some white alloys (to match the stripes), or to take the stripes off (probably will leave marks on the paint), and get some anthracite ones and colorcode the sidebadges to match them.
Would stay...
