You tried disabling AVG for a while, setting date and time correctly and seeing if you can get online, this should let you know if the problem is with AVG or not?
As already mentioned there Microsoft Exams (Microsoft Certified Proffessional exams)
There's quite a few network type ones, most are managing/deploying a network within a Server 2000/03/08 Environment etc
Personally I wouldn't bother with CCNA until I was working in a network job role...
Don't do Comptia..... if you mean A+ Networks. I went on a course for A+ last year and found the sylabus very dated. Told my boss thought it was pointless taking exams for it, instead concentrated on my MCP's, now i'm stacking them up at a pretty fast rate and a lot more relevent to my job.
I'm using a Dell XPS 1530 and were having loads of probs with the mouse pad, it started 2 weeks after I received it, then became completely unuseable, spent 6 hours on the phone to dell 'support' in India who were trying to diagnose the problem......even though I told them what the problem was...
Install an application like Serv-U on your PC, think you may be able to get this free/shareware or at least a free trial. State which folders you need to share and setup a username and password for him. (Think this can all be done in a wizard)
Get him to use an FTP program to connect to your...
Agreed with what Matt said.......we were at Ring this weekend and saw all the skylines...and there trip has become infamous on quite a few forum's i've read...
As for the Clio's...thats Matt's Trophy and our other mate Jonny's 182 Cup. There were 10 of us there in 5 cars
We can
We use LANDesk which logs all asseted systems in an inventory, you can run inventory scans which will give you system info like RAM, Processor, HDD space etc, also software on machine.
Also this is what we use to remote onto users machines.
With every new build we install a...
Errrrrm....depends on the size of the disk etc, but generally nope....if I run a defrag on work machines I can usually complete it in around an hour on a 80gb HDD
Snap!!
My XPS M1530 was delivered on Friday too!!
I love it, really nice bit of kit, like you i'm just getting used to Vista but it is quite nice and mine runs it very well (I opted for the 4GB RAM option!)
I'm away all weekend Steve so unfortunately won't be there.
Will no doubt see you soon though. I'm hoping to be back at the reigns of another clio fairly shortly and it'll be heading to Mark's again!!
Cool...where you staying and who you heading over with?
Unfortunately the clio's gone now, but heading over in Westfield Megabusa, Evo IX, couple of clio's, Z4M and an RX7
Nice one Steve, haven't seen the car since either my last visit to Mark's end of last year or at one of the Westerham meets around the same sort of time.
Car looks great as ever.
When you off to the Ring as we're heading there 11-14th July?

They do indeed, although they did let a few run of the mill cars in including a vectra and a standard 172 Clio but failed to let in a mate in his CSL?!
It is indeed.
Yeah I did, RHD too which is rare for an already rare car, most of the Scuderia's released so far have been LHD. The gold wheels didn't really do it for me, nor the 360'esque Stradale stripe but it was still a damn good car, the noise they make is silly!
We got talking to...
Thats my mate Andy's car, we convoyed down with that, the green Westfield Megabusa next to it, a CSL, and an RB 182.
My favourite car there, closely followed by the Zonda, I don't know what it is but I love the Scuderia and everything they stand for.
Went out in Simon's Megane at Donnington last year, just so happened we were both at the same trackday on Good Friday and got talking because he noticed Mark's stickers on my Cup, then took me out for a session......very very quick....
I've got a lot of downloaded DJ sets in *.rm and *.ram format, so they play in Real Player and alike, is there a way to convert them to change them to mp3 or wma format so I can either drop them onto my Ipod or put them onto a data disc for my car mp3 player?
Mine was removed by Mark Fish when he fitted my brake ducts......it's a bit more of a lumpy idle than standard and the fuel smell is lot stronger.
I sold the car last weekend, but my emissions light hadn't come on and the unit had been removed at the start of September 2007.
It's a prospeed one off with a yozza decat
Nothing exciting for the next 12 months, staying on a work car scheme and getting a top spec brand new lexus is220, it'll be nice as hell, just not fun. The cars sold to help clear debts and start some saving toward moving out.
Maybe 12 months...
Today's the day by the looks of things that S20 CUP and I will be parting company, i've owned her for a little over 2 years and it's been a complete blast. The cars going for an MOT today at 4 and then the new owner, providing the car passes, will be taking her away straight after.
I've just...
How the hell do you remove the bulb carrier to put the bulb in?
I've tried squeezing the bottom up but doesn't seem to want to budge....does it need a little force?
I'm also having trouble getting my hands in as the rear arch keeps getting a little in my way!
Help please!
This isn't the original owner selling the car.
I know Nigel the bloke who owned and built the car and he flogged it about 3 months back to this bloke for quite a bit less than he's put it up for sale for.
Nigel posts on here....he now has a very tidy LY 182 with black pro race 1.2's on and...
