The revenge cruise is on at Queensgate.
Looking to a be a massive turn out, couple of us are heading down, just wondered if there are going to be any clios there.
Might head to Lakeside afterwards aswell depending on what others are doing.
Never paid monthly before but thought I'd ask when I rang for a quote.
BMW Z3 - £1800 FC, Commuting, 10K Miles, Mods, £4k Value
Now monthly, £2800.
Where do they get the cheek of adding £1000 interest over a year!
What do other people pay monthly?
Yeah. I'm guessing something triggered the immobiliser and the battery drained over night.
Put a new battery in and then played with ignition 1/2 pressing the keys, pressing the lock button and moving the steering wheel which seemed to dis-engage the immobiliser and now the car works fine...
I didn't realise the 1.4 engine was so cheap. If thats what it is then I'll do that.
Alternative is break the 1.4. I got a quote on a 182 for £1300 and a 172 for £3400... :L
That's if I want a nother clio.
I'd hope so it being a 1.4 ;)
I got quoted £500 for labour. My cars a non starter at the moment so if that is something serious and the cambelt is due in 9k then it's not worth fixing (101000 miles).
Also the insurance seems to be cheaper for a conversion as opposed to a 172.
(From what I've read)
What parts do I need?
(I have someone doing it but I am sourcing everything myself)
Also will the ecu need recoding?
Can anyone do a basic run through of what needs doing?
I've tried a brand new battery though so I can't see how it would be this.
The new battery gets the car to try and turn over but it just chuggs and stops after about 6 goes.
The other battery is obviously f'd as it doesn't even try
