I think people should say what brand and octane rating fuel they use when quoting MPG figures. I have found that it makes a big difference!

Ah yes - it could very well be if it smells like Phosphorous. Most likely if it's a new-ish cat.

Spooky - I have just tried to replace the rear discs on my 172. Got the discs from Euro Car Parts, but these don't come with an ABS ring either. Tried using the one fron the old discs, but it just falls off! Why 3 birds? Do the Renault ones come with the bearing as well? :)

As for MPG, I get around 34mpg with 97RON and 36mpg with 99RON in the 172. Not sure what I got in the Williams. Stardard engine except for Green induction kit and Devil exhaust. Probably under 30mpg with 97RON - a lot less than the 172, that's for sure! :)

Have tried numurous tyre styles / brands and the best set up I found was 195/50/15 Yokohama A539 all round. :) Never rated Conti's to be honest!
