Dci 65 was when I bought it:
after I had played with it:
mods:
full 172 kit interior and exterior
clio 182 alloys which were silver, but I painted them the anthracite colour with a matt lacquer
lowered on coilovers
re painted it liquid yellow and painted the roof black to...
I can do paint for you mate, I'm in bristol. Look at my thread on my respray on my car for a reference lol. Can keep costs down too http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?670776-My-DCi-sport-rep
I'd imagine you'd have to pull the window rubbers right out, and then drop the window to a certain point, and you'll see that the mounting brackets on the window-regulator will line up with holes in the door. Undo the bolts/torx and then lift window out of the door frame. I haven't took a clio...
Re: My Renault Clio wont start or turn over, whirring / buzzing when I try to start i
If there's enough power and its not an immobiliser fault, maybe the 'whirring' noise is a dodgy starting motor??
My DCi been giving me the flashing light treatment every now and then with my 'main' key, but is fine with my spare. Judging by how much that UCH thing is I hope mine isn't gonna think about packing up. Glad u got to the bottom of it tho.
Renault ones with trade discount were £70 for both sides, rubber, bearing, top hat. Looks like a redesigned top mount to the ones that are on the car if i remember.
Yeah changed the inner track rods and put new ends on whilst I was there.
Glad u got it sorted, but isn't the oil warning light more of a pressure sensor sorta fault, not a low oil light? Hence why there's a separate display saying oil ok?
Universal joint on the bottom of the steering column maybe? Mine was like that, and was giving the feel like the track rod ends were shot. But after changing the inner track rods and track rod ends was still clunking as you rock the steering/go over bumps. So I pulled the rubber boot up from the...
Hmm changed the lower arms with genuine new Renault ones and its still the same. Grrr. Treated myself to a set of coil overs and new genuine top mounts. See whether that might help lol.
Hey all, my car is getting right on my nerves at the mo, it's as if I'm constantly fighting the steering wheel to keep the car straight. When I go over bumps or a rut or even camber changes in the road the steering goes all over. I've tried everything I can think of, so thought I'd post on here...
Hi, it's been a little while since I last posted an update, but anyways it's all finished now. I painted the roof black to disguise the sunroof. I haven't seen it in daylight yet so I don't know if ill like it. I got 2 quick pics
polished rear wing looks gleaming lol
and fully built up...
I found that on my ph2 there wasn't room for the wiring and washer pipe, so I belt sanded a nice channel in the underside of the spoiler for it all to tuck away. Now fits like a glove.
I wanna try and stick to a bit of a stock sorta look, maybe the odd difference here and there. To be honest the only reason I de-locked that side was because the drivers side lock was seized, so I used the passenger lock in the drivers door ;)
yeah I think I'll stay stock and put yellow on there. I'm still thinking on the roof though. Black will help hide the vile sunroof, whereas yellow will look nicer but sunroof will stand out.
Pic of headlights, please ignore the bonnet, it's just on there so I can still drive it about, meanwhile I'm repairing a less damaged one ready for when I order the paint. Thanks for all comments appreciate them all ;)
sorry about bad picture. hopefully should have it completely finished by next weekend, so when its all painted and polished ill get some real good pics.
thanks all, for the moment ive had to leave the roof, bonnet and spoiler the original colour as ive ran out of paint which is a massive shame :( (I ordered it in solvent basecoat because its cheaper and in work all we have is water base, and you cant mix the two lol) but ive built it all up now...
Hey, just a quick update, I de locked the passenger side and got it stripped
Everything just about fit in the oven
In primer.....
ground coat
And finished job after applying 3 coats of pearl and lacquer. I ran out of paint hence why I haven't done the roof.
I'll post...
