That snapped bracket is a common problem... (think its the uch unit bracket) cant be replaced, so just stuck mine together with some tape... Wouldnt be anything to do with the engine mount prob....

I would try a quote with your mum or a female you know as a named driver and see if it lowers the premium.. When Ollie got his renewal through last year the price hadnt really changed.. But it dropped quite a bit when he added me to it..
