how is it being driven when the oil gets to above 100c
water temp is controlled by thermostat, they would have removed this to do head gasket no doubt!
have you any leaks at all???
could be a faulty sender as they say IMO
also check water for signs of oil contamination and a milky...
Jack back end up, place onto axle stands on jacking points
remove wheels (less weight)
support rear beam
replace shocks
easy enough, just make sure everything is supported! Dont like hearing people getting squished!

willy box has uprated bearings to deal with torque, derived from the diesel lump.
maybe a wise decision to get willy recon from reno, go get it fitted somewhere, if u dont fancy doing it urself and pocketing the dosh??
