I don't think having headlight washers is a legal requirement!
Very nice. I personally don't get the whole multi-coloured insulation-tape French flag on the grill though. It's a bit of a craze on here.
Update....
The car is now back on its original reg which meant I could fit some fresh plates complete with 3/4 front plate :)
I also fitted some bumper insert stickers thanks to Ady @ N2GRAFIX
Over the coming weeks I've still got the following to do....
- Paint Calipers Black
- Headlight...
^ agree'd
Some people can run them for fcuk all.
Just factor in the £245 (?) per year tax (compared to £20 in the DCi) and dearer insurance.
If that's all OK then it's a no-brainer.
I've very recently gone from a 172 Cup to a DCi80 and can honestly say that day-to-day the only difference is the mpg. Yes the diesel lacks the top end power and is more scared of hills; but it's certainly not slow!
I have no doubt I'll get another RS at some point but as a stepping stone you...
Ill admit I've spent more initially on this, but now it's up to my standards I can enjoy it and in the long term it will cost much less to run. I've already seen a big saving in fuel costs compared to the Cup; and it's certainly not slow. I won't bore you with the other areas in which it works...
Update....
The car went into the Bodyshop early yesterday (Friday) morning for the following work....
- Front Bumper respray
- Rear Bumper respray
- Fitting of Fabia Splitter
- De-carbon wrapping the exterior bits
- Re-seating of O/S sideskirt
In 24 hrs the shop turned it around and I can't...
I'm not badging up, I'm not badging down, I'm not saying it's more/less than it is, I just thought it'd be a nice touch.
All this chat about "are diesels sporty" is irrelevant and perhaps needs discussing elsewhere.
To all putting forward suggestions...thank you.
^ Great shop....but it's not quite right (Plus RSD is short for Relative Standard Deviation which is something I use everyday).
Getting there though....
I've been thinking a lot about some sort of Diesel/RS hybrid badge for the boot. I mentioned it in passing to Tom when I picked the car up and it's been playing on my mind ever since.
My PS skills are limited; but I've come up with this. It's the Diesel badge from a Holden combined with the...
Less than 24Hrs after ordering it....the Fabia Splitter has arrived :)
All ready for the Bodyshop now. I'll order some front bumper insert stickers from N2GRAFIX once the car is out.
Then.....that's it! Time to just enjoy it and keep it clean/maintained.
Until I think of something...
Just had a nice delivery from i4detailing too....
Just a top up to my weekly cleaning stuff to keep it at a high standard between details (2-3 a year).
Also the new plates ready to go on once XX02ZOX has been transferred back to Tom....
Update....
This weekend I took the car to a friend of mine who's always done detailing on the side. He's worked on all my previous cars; and is a bit of a genius!
I won't bore you with specific products/processes we used BUT one thing I will say is IRON-X is INCREDIBLE. The stuff it removes is...
Dawns old 1.2 looked lovely but in the end we decided the 8v would be too much of a come down; no matter how nice the car looked.
Then yours came along and the rest is history :)
The Cup was never formally for sale.
Any recent pics Tom?
