I know it sounds daft me saying the inlet makes a noise but that's honestly where it comes from. I'm bewildered as to how it would make a noise as its basically just an empty chamber with the air passing through it lol.

The dephaser has a little bit of noise bit nothing major, I've had the engine mount off before with it exposed and it sounded ok

I thought that too, so I took it off and put it back on so I know its all right now, no inlet guard on mine either

Also runs lumpy until properly warmed up, I hear a remap can sort this out. Any info on this would be a great help. Cheers Dom

When do they use tipex... Isn't it fully locked up? Its not like you can mark up the crank sprocket cause its not key-way'd. Just curious

Just a question about the intake manifold,top half. When the cars warmed up it starts making a right noise, rattling away. Its definitely not the dephaser and I doubt its anything to do with the cams. Just want to know if this is common with the f4r or if there is a problem.

Just a little update, got the silenced section on now and its absolutely perfect. Not loud at all, unless you boot it. Far better sound imo and the big bonus of course.. that ridiculous drone has gone lol, as said before it comes in at about 60-70mph uphill but its still quieter than the...

To be fair, it has quietened down abit, more rasp than boom now. I was told today they take 500-600 miles to bed in fully but I still ordered the silenced section.

I meant the drone inside the car, its been doing my head in. Its not too loud outside the car.. but I would prefer it abit quieter tbh. So if that's the case with will the silenced section its looking like that's the one for me

I liked the old wrc impreza but I've never really understood the love for these at all, even if the are reasonably cheap.

As said before, its most likely the wheel bearing that's causing it. I had the same happen on my previous clio

I do really like the look of white T's on an RB. Anthracite is always the way to go, best colour imo. Great looking car, shame about the glue! I'm on sport lines currently, great springs and just the right ride height for me.
