Tiff Needel has won races in Formula 1 and World championship Rallying, so please, run him down all you like but he could drive any car quicker than any of you, even stepping in it for the first time. Great video, and it makes me want a Williams, not a 197. Funny how they didn't compare it to a...
Yep. Think of it like a 360 and a 360 Challenge Stradale, or if you're not living in a fuc king dream world think of it as a car and the same car with more expensive suspension and front seats, different wheels and a silly big spoiler so you can't open the boot properly. Or if you're lucky...
Thanks for all your replies, sorry if I offended any travelling folk with that remark, actually no I'm not, I hate Gippos.
I'm so impatient I just went out there with a coat hanger and some tin snips and shoved two u-shaped sections of it in to the four holes and it pulled straight out. I've...
I'm not a pikey, I just bought an iPod aux cable so I can play my iPod on the standard stereo with my Trophy. Where do I get hold of the removal tool, if that's possible or does anyone know of a way of removing it without the tool (a bodge)? There are four 3-4mm diameter circular holes.
I...
If you have to get one car that does it all for under 12K and is still under warranty, I don't think you can do much better than a Trophy. Although I am slightly biased.
If the warranty issue wasn't a factor though, I'd get a Trophy.
Took 298 in for a Group N re-map last Saturday and there was a glitch somewhere between the ECU and their computer and to cut a long story short my car was immobilized for a week, not even Renault could get a new ECU to work, while I had the courtesy car, Dave Kirk (K-TEC's MD) sent the original...

Horse s**t. Renault will do anything to get out of doing warranty work. Read the above, the official answer from Renaultsport's 'Expert' - Alan Collen.
If you disconnect the electrical...
551, as Cue says maybe a few more prototypes, test rigs, blah blah, a few have shrink-wrapped trees by now so probably down to around 530 already.
I wonder if the Renault salesman sold him Pilot Exaltos for the trailer? Might not affect the cornering too much.
Very well. It was only marked down because it's actually a bit too fast to be enjoyed on the road, will make an awesome track machine no doubt. IMO the addenda didn't do it any favours, it does look a wee bit like a halfords job, and could the limited edition numbering be any more crass? LOOK...
Cover shot looks awesome, as T23 PHY said - especially the Collectors Edition. there were 5 cars on it that I really wanted for a while and 2 that I own (coming 2nd and 4th). Must make you real proud that your car won the 'best front wheel drive car ever' accolade. How could you ever sell it now?
This is the most intelligent comment on the EVO/Renaultsport debate so far. Why on earth would an independent magazine promote a car that cannot possibly profit Renault? The 197 didn't even make it into the final 6, EVO love the Mini's and the MK V Golf GTI, no-one accuses them of a pay-off from...
If you read the article you'll see that it's about the best driver's car, I agree with the results having owned two of the top six and driven a few of the others. The Focus RS has too many minor faults to make the cut. As has a VR6 , which is a sublime car. This article is brilliant because it...
I certainly don't think the 182 is the most beautiful car, but as hot hatches go, it's not too shabby, I think the V6 is one of the best looking hatchback derivatives ever, as for the 197, it's looks a little on the large side, because it is. Progress is nearly always good, doesn't mean that...
Poppycock! Everyone knows the Trophy is the fastest car on the planet! I saw a Veryon at GFOS on Saturday and I thought "Yeh yeh, 8 litre W16, four turbochargers, over 1000bhp but it's so heavy", I knew then that the Trophy would have it in the twisties. As for cheap mass produced Full Fats...
There's a thread about this on cliotrophy, it seems everyone's getting their EVO's on different days.

There's some really good comments on this thread, I'm sitting on the fence a bit until I've driven one but I think the Trophy...
I went to Worthing High School. In West Sussex and quite a few other counties, secondary schools are called High schools. But I think that one has been pretty much answered.
I think, as with any forum, you get a mixed bunch of people, some technically minded, some not, some just looking for a...
Nice one Gareth, thanks for the insider information, I can't wait for this now. Do you know who's Williams they had and if they included a Corrado VR6?
I reckon the results will be Trophy, Williams and GTI-6 Rallye in the top 3.
Saw it yesterday parked up, had a good look, Had the same wheels as mine but in silver - looked really nice, I love the 172's from the back with the hidden exhaust, they look really understated and cool, especially in blue.
Anyone on here?
The 182.
In a straight line.
It has a slightly lower cd (Drag Co-efficient) so would reach a higher terminal velocity over a shorter time period.
If you dropped them both off a cliff.
Though, you couldn't drop a Williams off a cliff because they're too nice so the 182 would be...
Saw the above on the way back from Gatwick Airport yesterday, you won't have seen me unless you're into Mondeo Estates, my mum was driving. I remember thinking 'always when I'm not driving'. Nice Car, by the way. Don't normally like 'Lexus' tail lights, but they seem to go well with the Gloss...
Couldn't be a more trustworthy bloke really, he let me take the Trophy to Wales before the money had cleared because that's what a nice guy he is. He really checks over the cars too, and travels all over the country to pick up cups/trophies and comes back on the train if they've got anything...
This is the most valid point so far-they are two seperate bulbs on a Clio, full beam xenons would be weapon-grade! I've just been for a drive around the back of the downs through Falking and the halogens worked great, the only dangerous bit was being blinded by some c**t in a Beemer with Xenon...
Buy a Mk 4 Golf, realise it's a slow heavy piece of s**t and then go and get a 172. Better still, get a Trophy, a bit more cash up front but will hold their value better than a standard 182. And a s**t load better than a Mk 5 Golf GTI, think how many of those you've seen on the roads. And it...
You took the words right out of my Keyboard, 00 isn't really a number so it's like an extra one, like a prototype or something. 001 was a press car and used in the clio trophy marketing video.
