I didnt cos I specifically checked the part numbers in halfords "handy" little guides for it. I think i preferred the smaller ones i had when i bought the car, at least they cleaned it properly!
well, mine says 16v on the side ;), I had this todger in a quicksilver try to overtake me once, i was still in third and managed to out run him, couldnt be arsed to drop it to 2nd

well, I would guess that the 106 might beat you there, but as long as you keep it high in the revs should be ok. 8v are good for cross country (windy roads) 16v are good for straights.
