I work at a valeting centre/foam wash at weekends and black/dark cars are a nightmare. You need to sponge them as well as jetwashing to get the dirt off. Unfortunately a lot of customers wont let you put a sponge on their paintwork and the cars are never clean when they leave.

Does anyone know if these are special bolts or what size bolts will fit? My engine cover is just sitting on the block with no bolts. Obviously the last owner/garage who done the cambelt couldnt be bothered putting them back on again!!

I am about to change the headunit on my 172. Is it a simple ISO connection? Dont want to start trying to remove it if its not ISO connectors for a quick and easy change. Thanks

Last time I had points (before the new style photocard licence came about) after the 4 years I sent mines back, paid something like £20 and all they done was scored out the points with a biro and sent me the same licence back.

I'm glad I'm 32. I pay under 400 for me and my wife on the insurance. Fully comp with protected NCB. Thats with the modifications declared too. And a £250 excess. Whats the typical excess for young drivers these days when they are paying silly insurance costs of £2k and more?

Turns out mines seems to be an import. I'm not concerned at all though as the car is a cracker. Spoke to my insurance company about it and it increased the premium by £5 a year so i'm not really out of pocket by much lol

I have searched and read many threads on the import question. I've just bought a 53 plate 172 from a dealer. If there is no LED beside the gear stick am I to assume that this is an import? I cant check the logbook as its not back from the DVLA (it had a cherished number when I bought it)...

i'm looking into a set of standard ones as I'm also unsure of them. Still, they might grow on me.
