Yeah but adding a supressor is not fixing the problem. Its hiding it. Most cheap amps cause this problem. I can almost guarantee its nothing to do with the routing of the cables. Its either the amps earth point or a cheap amp. it wasnt the best amp but why would it just start doing it when...

I have had my sound system hooked up for months with no problems. Yesterday I had to get into the spare wheel well to get my lock in wheel key. So the sound system had to be taken out. Hooked it all back up and now I am getting a whistling noise coming from the subs, this whistling is in tune...

Most CSers will tell you not to touch cat d,c's etc but its entirely down to yourself......surely the guy at the garage would know people to get these parts on the cheap?
