Based on the fact 50Mb would cost A LOT of money to provide properly... it'll be very expensive (like, hundreds per month just for the connection) or a really poor fair use/capped..... doesn't take a genius to guess which one will be the case ;)
If people actually understood the cost of...
It's beyond levels of awesome ever.
I really, really liked my RAZR2.. had my iPhone for 6 months and decided to try the RAZR again for a few days - it lasted 30 minutes... it's just, not an iPhone.
Awesome.
Why do they always put them next to the bogs? or a kitchen? Heh... with cold pipes running through them.
We had a pigeon in one of ours once.. was in the roof, then got down after a tile moved. I'm not kidding you, he must have been scared, cus' there was crap everywhere...... not the...
What went bang? Air Con? Pipe crack?
Oh, and top marks for coming on ClioSport before fixing the issue.... Haha.
"Sorry, building falling down, brb" ;)
It does work well yea.. we've used it at work a few times when WiFi was just awful.
On the 80Mb plugs I got, I was managing to get about 60Mb...
Some certify silly speeds.. never used them though.. but the technology is very good.
Worst Macworld Keynote ever.
I've been disappointed at most of their keynotes, for like three years, but this one was taking shite to a whole new level.
I bought Parallels 3... used the trial of 4.
Certainly on my Mac Mini, Fusion is quicker.
Parallels pretty much locks the machine and makes it unusable (only 1GB RAM) but Fusion worked much better and kept things usable.
Dual monitor support, 4GB RAM, 3.5" HDD would be the best thing they could do....
Although I fear I may only get one of those... the 4GB RAM bit... Heh.
I think it's likely they'll stick to a 2.5" HDD though...
Dual monitor is supposed to be likely though? Not sure myself.. but it will have...
Why would they? It's only just been revised - at the very most, some slight speed increases if anything related to the Macbook. Unibody 17" MBP apparently being rumoured.
Mac Mini might be interesting... if they do it properly.. I might even be tempted to replace mine depending on spec.
If they disappoint me for the 3rd year running, I'm never buying another Apple product again.
Maybe.
Seriously though - they need to release some big stuff.
I guess it depends on the application, but the USB->Serial adapters work well for what I do (terminal connectivity over serial). I connect to Cisco devices, Procurve devices, embedded boxes all fine.
Serial is being phased out quickly.. especially as space is so limited on laptop boards nowadays.
It can't be done... ActiveSync doesn't touch Public Folders, so even Windows Mobile devices can't.
I think maybe some third party tools may exist, but obviously won't work with the iPhone.. and I think even then, they use USB etc and not over the air - not 100% sure on that though.
Not really.
Saying that though, Spaces in OSX or Workspaces in most Linux window managers means you get as many workspaces as you need. In as much as, I'm using one 17" monitor at the moment and do everything I need... it's just, you can't see everything at once, which can be a problem...
Ish. The problem is full screen programs don't work sometimes with multi monitor, as there's no way to get the cursor out of the game (it thinks it's full screen so why would you?)
Also, some games change resolutions etc, which causes issues too.
To start with yea.. I got the three best 17" TFTs are the time, cus it seemed cool.
But then it was really, really useful... Heh. Was really productive.
I loved my multimonitor setup... not got it anymore.. got one monitor in the loft, one on this Mac Mini and one just on the desk doing nothing. Was really, really productive during University on it.
IMO, mixing resolutions just wrecks the experience.. I bought three TFTs with really thin...
Yea, my R285 takes multiple cartridges too... you can buy multipacks.
They've seemed to have gone up in price recently though... :(
Used to be able to get all 6 for like £30.
Ah, yea.. it'll work, but only 2.1 sound.. no rear speakers.. sorry.
So... don't get them.. or get a decent soundcard for the laptop, but it'll be external if you don't mind that - I guess to a certain degree, you'll only be using it in one place anyway, with those speakers....
