reburbs are generally around £45 per wheel where im guessing a new wheel would cost around £100 from Renault? Get yellow pages out, there are loads of wheel refurbers out there.
People say these put more stress on the standard top mounts (which i agree with), but ive had a k-tec uprated mount fitted for a nearly 2 years and my other mounts were fine and still stiff when i had my cam belt changed 2 week ago. Just a bit more vibration in cabin with The poly bushes.
It'll be a standard bolt M10/12 at a guess (dont know off the top of my head) x a certain length. A harware store should sort you out and id change the nuts as well.
Tests show defo power increases in turbo cars (not much tho) feck all on N/A's. But as said it burns more efficiently and cleaner. Not to mention the ecu has been set upto run on 98RON fuel i know it will run on 95 but when theres a sticker in there sayin recommended 98RON thats what it gets...
^^^^ Same here although its at its loudest between 2.5k-3.5k wierd? most performance/aftermarkets seem to like this (on the rs clio)tho from what ive read. Im swaying towards a quiet yozza stealth after the good reports!
the load compensator valve (rear brake valve bias thingy lol) is not used on the cup! They disconnected it to avoid rear lock ups due to lack of abs. Maybe something you should do
i just fitted itg panel, janspeed sports catand k-tec stealth and it certainly picks up better lower revs not sure top end tho? the car has always felt "slow" after driving my 5gtt
just fitted mine,took a few attempts to get it right as there is loads of adjustment, Happy enough! Quiet at low revs bit loader at higher revs - with sports cat
some people dont like the raspyness, but i heard an m3 giving it some and that was raspy as and sounded mint. My ktec stealth and sports cat has just arrived cant wait to fit it...
i needed a mixture screw for my r5 gtt as well, they charge about 3quid and it was 90p from renault inc VAT, just think think they may have forgot to update there "cheaper than renault" quote. They are a business at the end of the day.
I was going to take the 5 but the brakes need bleeding after i fitted some braided lines and new master cylinder...not had time to finish the job... guted i missed out
Thinking of getting the bumper re-sprayed in the near future, my question is can you buy the black inserts that sit below the top grills on the bumper. It looks as tho they are stick on and obviously to do a decent spray job these will need to come off.
