Pauls RR is so consistent, it makes it brilliant for comparison and development work.
For reference here is Dean's (Pres) cars current performance:
And this is what it should be doing: (another customers 182).
Linear torque of 150 across the board, peaking at 190.
I haven't budgeted for an LSD, although it would be lovely - possibly next year.
Good suggestion in terms of contact patch / castor etc. I will be running the AST top mounts that provide a decent wedge of extra rake on the castor, then possibly 3.8-4.2 deg of camber, however the test drives...
Not a problem. Your right about emails though, Curtis does not, ever, ever reply to my emails - so I just pick up the dog and bone. Things seem to happen quickly then!
I had another customers kit delivered to me personally by him about 2 weeks ago as the shipment from Germany had come in late...
That's fairly low, for a properly drive car anyway. I'd look to raise it 5-8mm.
Take a look at this image, it's my car with the relatively firm AST kit on. Steady state cornering you can see that there is still a element of body roll, imagine yours doing the same, possibly more, and you can...
Yes, that can help. But it usually means your car is simply to low with the coilover / ARB spec you are running. Stiffer setup will eliminate roll and thus you can lower the car more.
If you are only getting light scrubbing a 5mm raise might stop it completely and won't make the slightest...
Smooth ;)
Correct however, if you can't afford a set of V-maxxs don't bother.
I will point out however that the V-maxx kits are very well made for money; cam based camber adjustment for easy accurate adjustment at home, proper bolt spacing differences (not 'elongated' holes) etc.
You can knock it upwards lightly, but to much and it will prevent the bumper from being put back on without a wrestle.
To be honest you are running a soft set of coilovers, so if you are experiencing scrubbing on road use the car is too low. At an extreme (such as a track day) the tyre could...
I haven't had any dealings with KW CS personally so can't comment.
In terms of AST the service is fairly unreal, Curtis Serviced, Re-valved and re-sprung my personal set for my race car project and had them back to me within 3 days. Tony and Jay received similar service with their ph1 race car...
It does to a small extent, but from what I can recall there is a drain lip within the intake that catches the water as it rounds the bend (due to it's weight).
That must have been running like a bag of nails for a month!
It's the Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor (as above: MAP). It tells the ECU the atmospheric pressure in Mbar dependent on the throttle position within the plenum chamber.
Re: help plss how can i stop the big jumping wen it spins in first i keep breakin exh
I admire your ability to creatively mention the Ford in every post ;)
From what I gather (yet to see the graphs) it's producing solid figures, but it's still 5-6 chocolate buttons short of a 'normal' 182 with an RS2. So we'll get it back down here, run some checks and see whats what.
