Im not to sure what this set up will feel like compared to my previous set up. But im hoping it will be more comfortable as im putting a lot less stress on the shocks now.
my previous set up was a bag over coilover set up, running AP coilovers. And tbh, it was pretty stiff. Could happily throw...
Bit of a update, rear end us finally all mounted up. Just had to make some custom brackets for the top of the bags to mount to, i would of shown pics but i never got round to taking any. (The rusty bolt for the shock and since been replaced)
time to get cracking on the new front set up.
solid...
Haha 4 fines, 3 points each. But took one as a speed awareness.
and tbh, my insurance didnt change much. It went from £1000 to £1200 all mods declared. That was when i had 2 years driving experience and 2 years no claims
It was my first car thats why, and i thought its best to learn on this whilst its cheap instead of jumping into something with more power or worth a bit of money and messing up if you get me. Its literally just for my own enjoyment and knowledge of making/ fixing things.
This was where im at now with the rear end. I was running single bellow bags before.
Swapped them out for double bellows. Mounting plates have been dropped 3inch.
New shoes and refurbished drums( was going to covert to calipers but i cba).
Painted brake lines, and polished up the original...
Haha i know, the diffuser hold well just attached to the car. I only fitted them to reduce the gap it was creating in the middle. Having it pulled up closer to the bumper made it look more flush.
Theres a long ass list of things i have planned, so far ive made a diffuser for the back, stripped down the rear end and refurbished it. That included some custom fab work to allow the car to sit even lower than before. And ive just started to work on the front set up now.
Got to have thick skin to drive this thing trust me😂, and ive since made a diffuser for the rear end. That was the plan last year but i never got round to doing it.
New to the forum, im aware how much hate i will receive as its a 1.2, its bagged and its pink.
But i thought it was time to create a thread whilst im doing a full rebuild.
this was the look of the car last year, after having problems with the paint and having someone ram me i took it off road...
Does anyone who has a clio campus sport 1.2 and fitted coilovers know if i'll need a 52mm bolt spacing or a 58mm bolt spacing for them fit. Finding it hard to get the right information that i need, would be much appreciated.
im thinking on buying japan racing jr11's for my clio campus sport but im unsure on what size to get. i dont want them to small but i dont want them to big. i want them to fill most of the arch without making the car stupidly high.
do i go 16" 17" or 18"??
someone please help aha
