Impressed with the project and all the work that has gone in to it, nice to see the car in the flesh tonight it looks great in white. Thanks for the back box btw.
Ah right, yep I know Dan.
In rallying a 1700cc engine would go in the class 1600cc - 2000cc, meaning we would have to compete with things like the Clio R3 and other 2 litre beasties. Whereas a 1400cc would go in the 1400cc class with only other 1400cc cars, which should give us a better chance...
It's on ITB's from a GSXR 1000, 1.7 at the moment. Looking to swap down to a 1.4 at some point to become class competitive. Where did you hear about it?
I'm loving the Clio Jimbo, so much fun to drive, so much more so than the Fabia vRS I had.
Alright Jimbo, been on a few months now but don't post too often. How's your cup? I noticed you have the sportlines on yours too, I put some on mine in July, very good springs imo.
I'm not at the rolling road day as all of my spare cash goes on my other car, a Ford Puma rally car project.
Yer I'm at most of the rallies, I'm also building a rally car with a friend and we are hoping to compete next year, that's why he was co driving, getting some practise in.
Thanks, it's just on a set of Eibach Sportlines. I'm part of Whickham & District motor club and Andrew Roughhead comes along too (Taylors co driver). He was saying that they had just hit the limiter in 6th 50 yards before the bale!
The 205 rolled on stage 9 I think, but managed to make it to...
Mine also does this. At first I suspected the aux belt, but after having the belt, pulley and tensioner replaced it still makes the noise.
When listening closely it seems to come from the bottom of the engine, so my next suspect is the gearbox. I'm going to try changing the oil to see if this...
I looked for the manual a while back but all of the links no longer work. If anybody has it saved on their computer and would email it to me let me know please.
Just ordered mine for £72 all in from Benfield Renault Gateshead, even the guy in parts was surprised at the price and commented on how the tensioner alone is still up for £110. Cheers guys saved me a lot as I've just been quoted £170 and was about to hit buy but had a quick look here first.
I spotted a Silver 182 this morning at about 11am as I was driving up Hylton Lane in my Silver Ph2 172. It had a cliosport sticker in the rear quarter.
