Ah right, yep I know Dan. In rallying a 1700cc engine would go in the class 1600cc - 2000cc, meaning we would have to compete with things like the Clio R3 and other 2 litre beasties. Whereas a 1400cc would go in the 1400cc class with only other 1400cc cars, which should give us a better chance...

Silver 172 was me, I was servicing for Keith Fisher in the 205 that rolled, no. 43. I also saw the 197 & 200, looked nice against Taylors R3.

Mine also does this. At first I suspected the aux belt, but after having the belt, pulley and tensioner replaced it still makes the noise. When listening closely it seems to come from the bottom of the engine, so my next suspect is the gearbox. I'm going to try changing the oil to see if this...

I would say no and no. Car will run like crap with the lambda unplugged, and I'd say the exhaust will blow without the ring.

Just ordered mine for £72 all in from Benfield Renault Gateshead, even the guy in parts was surprised at the price and commented on how the tensioner alone is still up for £110. Cheers guys saved me a lot as I've just been quoted £170 and was about to hit buy but had a quick look here first.
