I had a play in my mums DCi 65 the other week and it feels stronger than the figures suggested (okay, its not lightning quick, but its much better than a 1.2 8v Grande loan clio I had once, and I ragged the ass off that one!) The DCi is dead easy to drive cos its got a good bit of grunt low down...

Id agree with Chun - I had my Mk1 172 done about 10,000 miles ago, and theres very little in it at top end, but in mid range its just a bit sronger - seems to pull a bit more cleanly... I noticed most improvement in 4th gear after having the SuperChip, dont know about anyone else. Matt

Nnnnnnnnoooooooooooo!!!!!! Why on earth would someone destroy a 172 like that? (Just my opinion of course) It wasnt a silver one was it - blacked out windows and twin round magnex by any chance? - I used to see that one going round Hemel Hempstead a while ago. Matt

Tim I think the problem is that they are linked to a secure backup site which we dont have permission to view! (or something along those lines) Anyway - 164bhp - is that at the wheels or the calculated flywheel figure? If it was at the flywheel, what did you get at the wheels mate...

Forest Let me know if it fixes the problem - if so then I might have to nip down to Gordon Lambs and get them to sort mine for me too! Cant understand why it wont be warranty work though, because its a design problem, not wearntear... Might have to have a rant at Renault if thats the case...
