i dont think HIC will insure you as your not 19 mate, my first insurance company was tescos, they were ok but charged $$$ for mods.

i would advise to get a banger, get a crash out of your system, build up a few years ncb and get a valver in 2/3 years time.
mate i dont mean to sound rude, but at 17 are you sure your experienced enough to drive a valver??
the insurance companies charge that much for a reason.

so far ive been to see 3 valvers;
first one was an absolute dog, high mileage, tacky alloys, neons:sick: etc but felt really quick
second was an absolutely mint monaco blue example...

Iv currently got a mk1 nova but am looking to get rid of it soon and get me a nice clean phase 2 valver, just a few questions!
are they really that unreliable??
how much should i be paying for fsh + low miles?? round 3k mark??
and is it worth tuning the 1.8 lump? or...
