Most people stick to standard rear brake set ups. You'll be better of spending more money on upgrading the front set up. However I'd have thought the standard Brembos would be pretty good?
I've pussied out of getting a remap. Too many varying opinions of whether or not the engine can handle more power. It seems that a mid range increase is fine, but top end is a nono.
My advice would be to enjoy the car for what it is, save your dollar and put it towards a 197/200 for when it's...
9/10. Haven't spent a penny on repairs.
It has been in for warranty repairs to fix a loose lock barrell, replacement of headlights due to internal cracking and 2 wheels replaced due to paint peeling off. The drivers seat has just started to develop an annoying squeak, but on the grand scheme...
Why don't you get a mechanic to inspect the damage? Sell your Turinis, then use that cash to pay for the new parts. How is the resolution to buy another car, which could cost you just as much?
Why don't you sell those turinis, buy some cheap s**tty steelies. That will pay for a gearbox refurb. Then borrow another £100 (surely you have £100 laying about??). Then get your mate to help you fit all of it. Job done!

You can't blame the tyres on the car, you can't complain it was due for a cambelt. Exhausts need replacing on plenty of cars after a certain mileage. The only "freak" repair, may be your...
OP, you paid £3600 for the car and have now spent £1500 on it. Plenty of 182s are selling for £5k so you've not really done too bad. Obviously spending money on unexpected repairs is a pain, but that is what happens when you buy a 5 year old car with 70k+. Welcome to running a car! PS...my car...
Spend a bit more on the products next year, when the weather is better. The paintwork won't get ruined between now and then! It is just a car, not an ornament! I'm sure JP will put enough protection on.
I would reccommend investing in Duragloss 901 shampoo, I found it much better than Megs...
I'm a fan of Duragloss 901 shampoo too. I use this sealant: http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/britemax_extreme_elements_1.html
I've found it last ages and gives a good shine too.
