read on a thread awhile ago about someone wantin to do the same, and some ppl said that you need a valver bonnet because the inlet manifold (i think) will touch the bonnet, and the valver bonnet is bigger at the front. I might be wrong though...just something i read on here a while back

my car (mk1 phase 3) has just been in for new wheel bearing and come back still wurring like a plane they said that i need a new steering rack, just wondered if any1 knows what kind of price im looking at??

i have the same problem, ive got a mk1 phase 3 aswell. Mine was the starter motor, when i turned the key nothing happend for a while, found out that if u slam the bonnet shut wen turnin the key it jerks the starter motor and it starts, quite hard to do tho lol. I got someone to look at it for...

do the back wheels tuck under the arch ok with it being lowered 55mm? Just wondered cos the phase 3s have smaller arches dont they?
