I wouldn't buy one, but that's purely because I'm not into diesels. They smell BIG time. I hate following diesels of any discription, make me cough. YUK!
Personally speaking, I am waiting to see what they do with the Twingo. That's more up my street.
Such a lovely looking car. I wish mine was that clean and shiney. Love the front lights. You have definitely done a good job on it, looks spanking. Nice one.:)
Personally speaking Mikey, If I were you I would save for the Eibach springs and dampers. I know they are a tad expensive but there are worth every pound. My car handles so well now, never fails to put a smile on my face. It was definitely the best thing I could have done for my car.
Spend...
Looks pretty good to me. I'm not too sure about the rear lights though, but then again I have Lexus ones on mine, so I guess being as most people hate them, I have no room to talk. lol
My MOT and Service are due on the same day.(Begining of June). The Tax in due in November. Our 1.2 Clio is due for it's MOT and service on the same day as mine too. It's an expensive business owning cars these days. Duncs car's due for it's MOT and Service in August.
Mangate; definitely sounds like a broken switch to me. I had mine go on my Clio nearly a year ago. Cost me £36 to get Renault to put a new one in, but after having my stereo put in I now know I could have done it easily myself.
Aww that's absolutely gutting! I agree with AndyA4 though, I doubt I would trust the guy to just pay up. I'd insist on going through his insurance. I hope you get it sorted ok and am glad you are alright. Definitely looks nasty to me. Poor lickle Clio. :(
I haven't seen any around our area yet. I'm not surprised really being as I can't imagine Wilsons (Epsom) getting any in for demonstration, let alone try and sell one to somebody.
I really don't want to piss on your fireworks here, but I would not personally touch a car that had had 4 owners in 4 years. Well, not a clio anyway. Not all the owners can have been bored with it nor couldn't afford insurance, tax petrol etc. I would be a tad bemused at its people history...
That points towards a choke problem and it really isn't a good idea to floor the throttle before starting it as you then flood the carb. It can work but isn't a long term solution.
Oh and, it's not good for the cat either, so definitely not a good solution.
Have you changed the leads and plugs since you've had the car? If not, it may be worth doing that. Old plugs and leads can cause no end of problems especially in poor weather.
Hiya and welcome to CS. That's a rather nice and unusual looking 5 you have there. Dunc (my Hubby) reckons it would look rather tasty sitting on our drive. He says he'll give you a fivver for it! Just to take it off your hands for you. ;) Lmao.
Seriously though, very nice mate! :)
Yeah, the battery was the reason I was asking about the turn over. I had to replace my battery a few weeks back as the turn over got really slow and sometimes almost refused to start. The battery was only just 3 years old too.
I can't see why the car would die when pulling forwards with just a...
What was the turn over like? Was it quite quick or did it seem a little slow and sluggish? Also, the reason it may have died when you pulled forward is, the auto choke may have got stuck due to the cold and damp weather and may not be working properly. (We have this problem with our 13 year old...
Yaaaaaay. I'm really glad you have come to tell us what you intend to do to your baby. It really does sound interesting and like I said, I will be more than happy to take some more pics for you next weekend. (If you can make it).
Keep up the good work. :D
We plan to keep it as a runaround, but we might get a nice set of alloys for her and maybe some decent suspension. That's about it really, just want her to stay looking nice and last us a good few years yet.
A BIG thanks to Ryan for the sexy seats. :D
