The type r sub is a brilliant sub. Got one myself and i know alot of people with them aswell cant go wrong with Alpine IMHO I think dink means a dual voice coil if it has 4 terminal on the back its a dual one think all the type r's are dual voice coil

Mine done that common fault the revs stayed at 2000rpm when i dipped the clutch as well they replaced a sender unit and a wiring loom and i think the thermostat it was in for 3 days so they could get the parts

I would go for tomtom aswell got it on a pda .The tomtom go's are good aswell all in one and if you get the 500 version you get built in bluetooth handsfree there is three different ones 300 500 and 700 there is only slight differences between them
