by the time the tread wears down to illegal for the road the tyre would be scrap anyway as it would've gone through that many heat cycles it'd be like driving on wanglis! Hence why its daft to buy "second hand slicks"
People did, but as it was the last race of the year i think the organiser "turned a blind eye"
full wets on the trailer for everyone next year then LOL!
i'm afraid the bumpstops, or to give them their correct name, secondary dampers are a vital part of the suspension! remove them from a standard car and you get the front tyres scrubbing the arches!
no no no no no! Buy the genuine boot kit from Renault for £35ish (stretch ones are s**t!!) remove driveshaft from car, knock outer CV off with block of wood and a large hammer, replace, done - 1 hour tops
it is a turbo car though, so gains are normally higher, but i do find performance filters silly because no one ever cleans them and in order to increase airflow you reduce filtration (in my opinion) i always try and use standard paper filters that actually filter!
its not the dirt that's so much of an issue, its the bumpstop, that's an important part of the suspension, we must've fitted 20 pairs in the past few weeks
