Its amazing how such a small, cheap mod can make such a difference to the look of the car. It looks brilliant by the way, I bought a 3/4 plate a few months back and its the best £20 i've ever spent! :D Starting to think I should've gone for this size now though!
How about something like a 147 GTA? Gorgeous looks, within budget, very quick, and as standard one of the best sounding cars on the road IMO. Such a cool car, lovely interior too.
Failing that, I'd be looking at R26's.
For me to even consider buying a 197 it would have to have xenons. I wouldn't buy one if the car didn't have them. I know its a tiny thing, but it completely changes the look of the car IMO, they look so much better with them. Should be standard on 197's, like on the normal for want of a better...
Love it, think I'd still take Tim(e)'s white 197 but this is defo the second best 197 i've seen!
Are you planning on keeping the black alloys on or just for the winter? Think I'd keep them on over the silver one's tbh!
And whats all this 'low fat spread' about? :)
That black 172 on the white 2118's looks brilliant! I think it looks even better than the black R27 its parked up next to.
Carbon bonnet aswell by the looks of it?
Love that 225 F1 aswell, always had a soft spot for those.
Lovely colour, how much was it for sale for? Renault dealer so £5k ish? Low mileage though!
Search for FlameR. His 172 is the best flame red on the site IMO. Perfect in every way!
Perfect, just perfect! Wouldn't change a thing on it.
Easily in the top five cars on here.
Edit - Just noticed the full size number plate, how come you changed it back!? Looked better before IMO.
I am presuming you have'nt sorted the brakes yet so I'd personally get them done before anything else. They were OK as standard, but are the only real thing that needed upgrading IMO.
'Best bang for bucks upgrade' though? Get it decatted!
Great effort and easily the best v6 replica i've seen but I just cannot think why anyone would actually contemplate doing it. Insurance costs maybe, but surely all of the parts that are needed to build a rep would be similar to the overall cost of the insurance in the first place!?
Lovely car and great pics, although I have never understood why people paint their Renault diamonds in dodgy colours! I know its for it to 'stand out' a little bit more, but a more subtle colour would look so much better IMO.
They do look so good with subtle mods though don't they? Colour coding and some phase two bits like rear light clusters, rear bumper, and bullets and they really are gorgeous cars!
Not too sure tbh. CAF's would defo look better in black, and I think I'd of kept the standard 182 alloys on. The only alloys I would put on a 182 would be either Turini's or 2118's but its your car!
I do like the splitter though, its different but in a good way!
How the hell could she possibly crash into it?
Infact how anyone could manage to crash there is beyond me. What did she say that had happened? Women drivers FTL!
Sorry to hear/see this anyway, and I hope it gets sorted quickly. I love this car aswell. :dapprove:
A mixture of saving up and a birthday present. Cut my big nights out to just once a week instead of two/three nights. Its amazing how much you can save up by just going to your local instead of clubbing in town really. Its easy to spend over £100 on a Saturday night whereas at my local I end up...
I'd usually agree that Carbon bonnets only look good on black car's but I reckon it'd look brilliant on your 197. Red and Black combo going on with the paint, wheels, decals and if you got that bonnet and painted the calipers red then it would suit it perfectly!
ST220's are really good in all fairness, for a big car they do handle well. Had a go in my mate's Dad's one a few months back and was really surprised, loved the looks, Recaro's, noise, effortless grunt and the handling. Perfect family car really apart from the fuel consumption but I s'pose...
Proper cool cars. People who know nothing about cars will think its just an old Clio with a boy-racer kit on it but those who know their stuff will stop in their tracks for the right reasons. Similar with things like the vee really.
If you are willing to travel a few miles up north then I would recommend RS Tuning in Leeds. I took my Trophy there for its 36k service and was very happy with the service, and the price. If I would of gone to my local Renault garage it would have cost about £150 more!
I LOVE this car! One of the best Ph2 172's on here. Anthracite Turini's suit silver 1*2's sooooooo well.
I would get some Pole Positions and then it would be perfect!
The brilliant reviews, the handling, price, speed, the whole package really.
I know Capsicum Red is a bit of a marmite colour, but I personally love it. Looks fantastic when its clean.
Oh and what I love the most, having the ability to embarrass cars that cost three/four times as much...
