Im in the same boat, is there anyway to build rep back up with the Legion? I managed to stealth boy it into Ceasars Tent and last about 4 seconds before someone power fisted me into next week
I got one, as Fred said the fit isnt the best
May have to get creative to get the pipes sitting flush with the exhaust surrounds
Can sound a bit boomy at 80mph on the motorway which can grate on long journeys, although I do have the decat pipe as well
Floor it and it sounds cool
Yep thats the only benefit I can see too, some of the more expensive fuels may be better for your engine long term and give you a few more mpg due to additives etc but dont expect a power increase of any sort whatsoever
If the car is tuned/mapped/modified then a specific or higher RON fuel may be the way to go yes
For a standard car designed for a specific RON rating, then using a higher one will do naff all
The RON rating is not how powerful a fuel is lol
RON100 does not have more energy than RON98 for example
^^^^
Actually I can think of two instances when using a higher octane fuel may cause your car to perform better:
1) Renault could be idiots and although they stamped RON98 on the petrol cap, they got it wrong and the engine was actually designed for a higher octane fuel to begin with, hence...
If the car is designed to be run at RON98 then using any higher RON fuel will have no effect on performance or mpg whatsoever
Using RON95 however, in a car whose engine is made for RON98 may cause it to perform slightly worse
For everyone that says they used RON100 or RON99 or whatever and...
Loving it so far mate, our PH1 172 is a little behind yours in terms of getting it track orientated (slowed down by the fact the immobiliser kicked in and is now permanently on grrrrr) but most of the stuff you’ve done/got planned are the same as we have in mind
Been to XSport a few...
Ive got very similar problem on my PH1 172
Car unlocks/locks fine from the fob
Immobiliser light pulses steadily as it normally does
Soon as key is turned the light flashes like mad (but doesn't turn solid)
Car briefly tries to start then dies
Is there a way of removing the immobiliser...
So just following it back until its out of sight underneath where the dash will be, snipping and then taping up the ends may well do the job as it will be massively easier by the look of it
For now just looking at removing them from the interior
On another note the alarm and immobiliser -...
Yeah the burpspeed project thread is pretty much my lunchtime reading when at work
First sight of the loom and the amount of wires and I thought f**k me, leave it well alone, but its annoying having wires just hanging about in the door sils and stuff so something will have to be done
Its a...
Hi guys,
Currently stripping our 172 to turn into our first track car project and have some questions:
Some of the wires are going to be surplus to requirements (electrical windows, electrical wing mirrors, the wires that run into the standard seats etc etc)
Whats best way of removing these...
Its worth doing as when your moving rotational mass for each wheel comes into effect, so if your saving 4kg for instance by using lighter wheels it will reduce the equivalent mass of your car by more (probably more like 6kg),
Its been faaar too long since I did moment of inertia stuff at uni...
So would upgrading to coilovers also solve this problem? Or is it different
Been thinking about coilies for a while and this might be the excuse i need :D
Garage has said I may need a new pair of front suspension legs
Not seen these mentioned too often on the forum
Any idea of what they cost?
Car is a PH1 172
Cheers
Joe
Ive got the top system, with their decat pipe as well
Freds right, its never sat quite right, slightly off center and one pipe sticks out fractionally further (mounts were brand new so nothing to do with them before anyone mentions them)
If you were willing to spend some time under the car...
Not too much help but the blipper for my 172 is detachable from the key blade, not sure how the previous owner managed to do it but its definitely possible without resorting to a hacksaw!
Had this fog light in my cupboard from my old 182 for so long ive forgotten which side of my car if actually came off! If someone could confirm if its drivers or passenger it would help me sell it, thanks
Part number could be: 8200002470 or PBT-ASA-GF30 maybe
2 and half years I reckon. Might not have it for much longer though as me and a couple of mates are looking to all chip in for a cheap PH1 172 for track use, I could live with something a bit boring as a daily if i got a track car to loon around in couple of times a month:D
Last I heard (2 days ago) the Bourne game was scrapped and they were proceeding with Syndicate remake
Had both the original and the expansion disc for the Amiga
Top top game, much preferred the original to the Syndicate Wars sequel though
