Just a card that emits a signal, car accepts that signal and unlocks the doors / boot. As long as its in your pocket you can also start it. Should be ok, usually have to be pretty close to it. Failing that put the keys further away ;)

Cup lacks the toys, some have AC some don't, no keyless entry no cruise etc. Standard 200 (usualy identified by silver brake callipers as standard) - Depends on the spec, but most will have the keyless entry, cruise, ac, 200 FF (identified with red brake callipers) - has the cup chassis...

Average 30 over the last 6000 miles or so. can get 36 mpg at 65 mph on cruise. People always comapre the 200 to a 172 / 182, but at the end of the day they are very different cars, the 200 is a much nicer place to be, but it depends what driving you do. If you drive it on the back roads...

You cant always trust the online checks / app checkers, their databases are not always accurate. Easiest way to tell if you have a FF is by the callipers, these are painted red for FF and silver for standard. As for lowering, most people go for H&R springs which make the car sit abit lower...
