i got 17s and lowered about 40-45 at the back and 35 at the front{which needs to be a bit more lower} and a boot full of ice and only rubs if i have anyone in the back and go overa big hump in the road.
ill check the off set next time the wheels are off.
p.s the tyres i have make ALOT of...
well im 18 and if i could afford the insurance i would 100% have one.i think wen they say too young and inexperienced they mean you need to drive it carfully because its a big difference between a 1.4 and a 16v. i will have one within the next 2 years

well as brun said the main difference is it slows you down. passangers are ok if at standard ride height but mine is lowered and i can just about get 1 light person in the back and it scrapes a bit over bumps.
i had to do no arch work at standard height but i have now cut the arch lip of...
you can get 17s on and lower it and your bearings will be fine as long as you dont drive it to hard into corners.

just ake sure you get the correct offset and the new falken tyres wich slant away from te arch.
