What you do is: go to the MPG setting then hold BOTH buttons (top and bottom) on stalk for 3 seconds. this resets mpg, miles to go, etc if you want to reset the trip meter, do the same but have the display showing trip miles first.

I drove a 1.2 (or maybe 1.4) Auto Mk3 Clio (petrol) at knebworth for renault ride and drive. It was an utter piece of crap compared to my 1.5DCI. No acceleration whatsoever. They arent all a piece of crap you know :)
