My washers are currently off, spoke to two MOT stations who both said it was fine and then it flew through its test with no issues.
EDIT: and properly ghetto blanked with some blue tape ;)
This at Le Mans, nothing else in the field even came close:
On road - a Scania truck with a broken exhaust, through narrow village streets is quite something!
yup, all the chat I'd heard before was about folk not being able to reach the 175Nm. Never considered the obvious bearing (race probably) crushing issues of going over! Went Mintex to save some ££ at the time - buy cheap, buy twice as always
Yeah that did happen, but he's done 1*2s before so removed the spacer. I was with him while he was working, so did see him put the spacer back on before fitting the replacement discs
hhhhmmmmm I wonder if the spacer was accidentally put in back to front then. I know (and trust) the guy that did the work so that's maybe most likely, the spacers were definitely put back on. As he's usually a truck mechanic getting the torque on wasn't a problem
..... pops n bangs when I still have 2 silencers and my cat installed?? Goes away after 30s to a minute, but it's starting to get me a bit concerned. Any likely causes worth looking into?
Cheers,
Mark
Anyone else had any issue with these? Got the discs and bearings changed on the 182 at the end of October last year, now it's droning away all the bloody time (99% sure it's the rears, certainly sounds like it's coming from there but no heat or anything being generated). Could there be any...
Welcome!
The arch from the dci wont fit, 182s are wider unfortunately. They will have had the front section of the arch liner at least undone, you need to in order to get into the connection in the hose for the washers (unless they've put the valves somewhere else....)
Also, find a new garage ;)
Got a new bonnet catch fitted (apparently, haven't bothered looking yet)
Realised that there's probably no point in trying to track down interior squeaks in an 8 year old Clio
Really easy to pop the bumper off and remove the washers. Blanks are iro £95 from Renault(!!) or £30 from Streamline Carbon, but the latter just need glued onto the bumper. 2nd hand cup blanks are rare, so snap them up if you see any
