Ouch, least you and you passengers are ok. Mine was similar in that I was TPFT too, it doesnt matter about the car at the time but after a few days it is a bit gutting, you get that grim feeling that dont have a car now.

I had this problem, partially collapsed barrel? I never found out the cause coz I crashed it before I fixed it. Might need a new barrel, re-coding etc.

His is 2001 model though. He must of undone the 3 bolts holding the shaft into the box.

Renault do sell them separate. Obviously just wanting you to pay the extra. Euro car parts do have them too, but you have to phone up, they dont list the genuine parts on the website for some reason.

Must be moisture in the car somewhere. Under the carpet not damp? You can get a box of silicon pieces to absorb the moisture from The Range for a couple of quid.

32/30 Was at my garage the other day and some blokes came in complaining there car felt wierd, sliding all over the show, the mechanic first thought was to check the tyre pressures.... 100psi all round. I wouldnt of even thought you could get them to that without them going pop.
