drive in onto bricks/block of wood to raise it then use the jack

but i can still use my laptop right, just run it off the mains?

do they just die over time?.. gradually over time i have noticed the battery level dropping considerably, it started off with a 3 hour battery life and eventually it became 10 minutes and now when i put it on the mains charger, the battery doesnt charge, it just runs on ac power has it just...
