So did you just take 100 photos one after the other? each one for 35 secs? Where abouts did you set the focus to? Will have to give this a go.

Got mid 2009, basic spec but upgraded RAM recently from 2 to 8gb, was only £30ish so was rude not to tbh and 10min job to swap.

PS rotation tool usually does the job. Show me what you call level then so I can compare pics.
