They do ok on a longish drive, My house to the OH's in South Wales is 168 miles.. From full i can do this on a quater of a tank driving at 70mph... Drive faster and forget about it.. I really dont know what Renault did when they changed the F4r slightly

FLOL !! Hit the nail on the head 197's are pants on economy fact !.. My 197 is in the bodyshop and i've got a Golf GTI 2.0 Turbo loan car.. Thats giving me 35mpg FFS !! better than my 197 and its quicker

K-TEC sell the kit i believe.. If your taking it to a garage then they will charge you for fitting the belt as its labour isnt it.....Using their time to fit a part.. At the end of the dasy a garage will take all that they can

My 04 182 had its cambelt go at 23k, Renault put a new engine in under warranty.. I didnt loose any value.. I cant see you loosing any value either, Get the new lump dropped in, Change the engine number on the V5 and the jobs a good'un

Sure it was you mate, Was passing by John Ruskin College and saw you heading in the son direction, I was going the opposite way towards Foresdale Lanes on my way home to Biggin Hill.. Car looked nice mate OBTW you would have seen me as i was driving the Golf GTI loan car

havent searched for pictures but i think with the rear lights the legality stands at that the rear lights must have the reflector visable and all light functions must display correctly... I'm sure someone on here will provide more information on that........ I've got something planned for my 197...

It does look nice though, TBH freshen up the areas that need doing i.e as you mentioned the seats.,.. Treat it to a detail and im sure once she's spick and span your opinion will change.. Either that spend some wedge on a Turbo or SC conversion

197's are dropping in price but i wouldnt say there dropping at a brisk rate.. 182's are nice as i owned a FF one in Titanium but TBH its not until you drive a 197/R27 over a period of a few days that you appreciate what the car has to offer... I was in the same boat when i owned my 182 but tbh...

Ouch !! I pay £560 FC including legal stuff and breakdown cover ( I'm 27 ) Admiral is good and thats the cheapest i've found so i just stick with them and dont even bother looking around come renewal time

Still a massive divide between the 1*2's and 197/R27's lol I was dubious at first about chopping my 182 in but its the best thing i've done and love my 197.. I still remember 197gaz giving me the push to get it lol ;)

Don't agree sorry I traded my 04 182 in for a 57 black 197. My 197 has 16k on the clock now and feels as quick as my 182...

Are you using spacers Ben ?? Just looking at a normal 197 if it was dropped i think the wheels would look pants tucked away inside the arch If your using them what are you running and links prices would be top stuff
