id find a spare bootlid from a scrappy(as its going to be sprayed anyway) to do this so that if it goes wrong you still have the original one.

get a campus bootlid or basitly cut out the badge bit reweld a shapped bit of metal in its place so that its smooth, filler over that n paint

Is it really that dangerious to redrill bolt spacings? I.e. if my bolt spaceing was 54mm but i had a 58mm strut or coilover would it be really dangerious to drill the lower bolt up afew mm so its 54mm? None of this "i heard my mates mates mates dad say it was" please cheers
