no, normally it will be disconnected. I have it wired to my bluetooth kit and iirc it normally @ 12v and is pulled to ground to mute. just disconnect it and see (it should float high)

dear god they are pikey tinks if glued. usually they are applied with soapy water and the vacuum keeps them on only ! Should be 5 min job tbh !
