I know a few people on the CS Steam group have this, but a heads-up for those that don't! It reminds me of mish-mash between Alien Syndrome and Gauntlet. A 4-player co-op game but with a more up-to-date feel.
More importantly, I cannot believe that these guys gave it away for free...
Just checking if this is the norm, guys. Having been firmly in the AMD camp for nearly a decade and a half, are the retail boxed Intel heat-sink and fans usually poor in terms of performance?
I've been tinkering with the i7 which has a stock clock of 2.8Ghz. I only just got it to 3.2Ghz when I...
Chaps,
Just head-scratching a little here. I recently replaced my mobo and a few other bits, together with a reformat of Windows 7.
I had the OS on a RAID0 volume and Steam backups, patches, downloads etc on a seperate RAID1 volume. Both RAID volumes were controlled by an nVidia nvRAID...
Two silver 172s pretty much within seconds of each other, heading up Cavendish Street, opposite Asda.
Then a Monaco 172 at Morrisons in Dukinfield.
Probably around 11-11.30 this morning...

Chaps,
Can I have your input on the following three bits that I'm thinking of buying to revamp the core of my PC at home...
Asus Rampage III Extreme mobo
Intel i7 930 CPU @2.8Ghz (8MB)
G-Skill 4GB (2x 2GB kit) PC3-17600 memory
The key part I'm unsure of is the memory. I've never had G-Skill...
Normally, they are strictly off limits to me. A bit like watching "The Making of 'insert film name here'" before you actually watch the film itself. They can give away hints and tips to the game before you've even took a step in it and maybe even dilute the experience overall, imo.
However, I...
Did a quick search but couldn't find any thread on it. SCUMMVM is a front-end that allow various platforms to run some of the greatest games of the last generation. As per usual, the front-end is free to download (on whichever platform you want) but the games files aren't located here. ;)...
By an annoying coincidence, the O2 signal at home is just as weak as it is in the office at work.
I'm well aware of this with various phones over the years, but the iPhone insists on telling that the 'Network Has Been Lost'. Yes, I know - I can see that. :( Seemingly I can only cancel the...
Just a heads-up for anyone interested. On Steam they currently have Oblivion Game of The Year Edition Deluxe. This includes the original game, both expansions for it, plus the six or seven additional DLC packs from Bethesda that alone cost over $15 to download from their site.
Bit of a bargain...
....or something very similar. Only saw it at the last moment as I was heading southbound - approximately around the Charnock Richard Services area of the M6.
Looked very, very clean!

Just got he back this evening and I'm chuffed to bits with it. :approve:
Following on from the arsehole who did the scratch in the following thread http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=500610 - I managed to get the car in the bodyshop today.
The iPhone doesn't really do the...
Further to Andy Wright's earlier post, Portal is a freebie until the 24th May for both PC and Mac...

Very clever (if slightly frustrating!) game. Definitely worth buying, but for free it's a definite steal. :approve:

Excellent. The Daddy of all Strategy is back. Looking forward to this! :)

If you've not previously caught any of the previous games in this series, Steam are offering the complete set of Civ 4 games for a mere £6.25.
Say bye-bye to a social life if you 'get it'.

What can I say?
Over the years, I'm now onto my fourth Iiyama monitor - a 26" version running my PC at 1920x1200.
I picked up this latest screen from Microdirect just before New Year but in the last few weeks, it's been behaving a little erratic. When I've powered down the PC and switched the...
