A couple of weeks ago www.buymynewcar.co.uk were selling R26 Meganes with options for £15,995 You'd be a fool to pay over 20k for a Megane. You'll loose 10 grand in 2 years in depreciation.
Thing is back in the 80's and 90's Renault sold two different classes of car with the same engine /performance: 1980's Renault 9/11 Turbo, Renault 5 GT Turbo. 1990's Renault 19 16v, Clio 16v, Megane 2.0 16v, Clio Williams.
So why cant they do the same with the Clio and Megane in 00's??
Keep it. You're looking at a rallye through rose tinted glasses. It's like getting back with an old girlfriend, after a short period of time you realise why you got shot of it/her in the first place.
No thumb grips on the 182 Cup steering wheel - so the surface area of the wheel is smaller. Methinks I am scraping the bucket. The steering wheel was probably originally out of the Renault Traffic Master van parts bin.
I beg to differ. But nice choice and of course the best colour.
Is it me?? But the more I see a Racing Blue 182 (being everyday as I own one) the more I love the colour.
In maintenance terms I have spent 80 quid (discounted 12,000 miles service from Rentech) and 92 quid on a new Exalto (replaced one that had a bleedin' brass screw stuck in it) - So just over 170 quid spent since May 2005 and 19,000 miles of driving. I hope i havent just tempted fate...
What about the 1.2 turbocharged Clio that's just come out? I have driven a Citroen C1 and it is a great laugh to drive, engine sounds nice, plus £35 a year road tax.
I've been using the same model unit for three years now (one year in my mini, two in the Clio). I like it and a bargain for 55 quid, considering they were something £220 when they first came out. I think I paid £170 from Empire direct for mine.
