Well if its down to looks then "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" so no one going to win this one. However new cars are Faster, Safer, better interiors, handle better ( V6 mk1 to V6 Mk2) and cheaper to run. I would prefer a new car or motorbike to any old ones. Simon.

Yeah I had 2 go on my 5GTT over about a 5 year period and luckly I was on the A1 at the time so no problem driving home without clutch and fixing it next day myself. Simon.

Well Id love an original Shelby Cobra (7ltr)..they are old cars now (60s) but still awesome. Other than that prefer new cars.:D My old (E reg) R5GTT was a great little car, but I am sure its replacement is better (182)?? Simon.

Well remember that old guy (70 ish years old) that held up the "slow down speed camera ahead" sign before a camera van?.. he was done for Perverting the course of Justice and even though he was NOT driving his car he got done with a £350 fine and BANNED from driving anyway....:o Its all down...

its seems to vary so much from tester to tester. I have seen times from 14.2 to 15.6?? So its somewhere in there.;) Simon.

Reckon I m gona invest in a B2 GPS camera detector soon just in case..lol Also looking into a NOS kit for my 255 to give even more of a burst of speed when needed..:D not that the 255 is slow now, but more is always nice..yes?;) South Notts on A52 East.... Simon.

OK so how are you going to do this?? High power for fast acceleration tends to mean high speed too. My 255s 6th gear is geared to around 170mph so that a 70mph cruise is only 2950rpm. lowerin the gearing to max out at max revs at 100 would give higher acceleration but high cruise rpm...

How many times are people going to quote that sh*t???? V6 was in pooring rain very wet track....182 was dry track, if the difference between wet and dry is about 5 seconds then V6 is up by 2 seconds a lap....OK:D Simon. [Edited by shmall on 01 July 2004 at 9:32pm]
