I cannot comment on the comparison to older clios, but the built quality is excellent and I am getting 50mpg for day to day journeys.

I would suggest running an extension for the intial setup, then getting rid of the phone connection as the skybox DOES NOT NEED TO BE CONNECTED for day to day use.
If you are using IE, try setting your text size to normal using the menu (tools->text size) In Firefox, press ctrl+0. If that doesnt work, set your font size to 100% in the display settings.
The second one is a bit stranger, it seems you have a larger virtual screen size than your monitor can...
