Didn't O2 have some data outages recently? sounds like theres a network issue - try the simple suggestion, switch your phone off and on again and it will try log on to a different cell site
T-Mobile and 3 share the 3G network, as otherwise it costs billions upon billions apparantly.
Virgin is a virtual network that uses T-Mobiles infrastructure. You'd be amazed at how many Virgin customers believe their signal is "better" than T-Mobiles.... ;)
