As for the MK1 V6 its build is quite solid, no nasty rattles. Our MK1 172 sweaks and rattles some what more than the V. The price of the car shows. I think youll be more than happy with it mate.

Yes, agreed... gearing is one of the weak links in the chain for the mk1, shame we cant do a side by side comparison and see what the results would be on the mk1, with the standard gearbox and then with the mk2 gearbox fitted. deuginthesky, how much could u get the mk2 gearbox for mate...
