Love it. I think the one I drove was around 160bhp, but still felt spritely. I knew a few people that jumped from modified RS Turbos to Cossies and were disappointed until they started modifying them.
I got a ride in Christian Major's S2 RS Turbo once, during the era when they were going for...
The first hot hatch I ever drove was a Fiesta RS Turbo. It had been chipped and had a couple of other bits and felt like a rocket at the time, as well as sounding really good. They get a bit of stick for not handling well, but I think they're still super desirable. A proper little tearaway of a car.
I suspect it's as much because it's the first moderately interesting affordable EV as because it's actually anything like an R5 GTT. And the Alpine version is one of the first affordable EV hot hatches. In that respect, it's a pretty important car for enthusiasts, as it's a glimmer of hope that...
Downloaded RBR tonight. Seems to be working ok on the laptop with just keyboard inputs (though is obviously impossible).
Will connect to the TV tomorrow and see if it works so smoothly when I try to connect the wheel etc!
Agreed. I've noticed they've started to leave him out of some videos, even when he's present. He was at the RS3/A45/GRY test but didn't appear on camera. A great writer, but not a presenter by any means.
You can quickly tell which ones are suited to it. Catchpole and Bovingdon are good. Meaden...
I suspect they put the Rally3 and Rally4 cars in because they were increasingly glaring omissions for a game that's supposed to reflect the current WRC. Not having the latest cars in didn't look very good. I'm fine with it to be honest, as I spend more time driving cars like that than all the...
That latest video with Taylor is actually alright. They've cut the bullshit and shouting and it was just him talking about and working on a car he really likes. Obviously it's not going to be shouty enough for the algorithm though.
Yeah it's probably the worst addition in the pack in a way, as it wasn't a great car. There are so many things they could add to it, and plenty I would have picked above that Focus.
Some decent updates coming by the looks of it. A load more stages for Sweden and Greece, plus another six new cars. I thought the Clio Rally3 and Rally4 had been a big omission, so nice to see those in there, and another of the 2017-21 WRCs added. That Michelin Pilot livery on the Escort...
The thing I miss from Dirt 2.0 is Rally Germany. It had plenty of run-off, so was a good place for experimenting, and parts of it felt a bit like some of the stuff you'd see on club/SV rallies, so was a bit more like events I might actually be able to do in real life.
On the subject of EA WRC...
I'm a total noob with this kind of thing, so not really sure what I'm looking at. Is that the best version? Ideally I need something totally idiot proof :ROFLMAO:
Does anyone on here have any experience with Richard Burns Rally? I've been wondering about trying it but, with people modifying it over the years, what's the deal? Where can I download the game and the relevant updates?
On the subject of the Irish stuff, I do have to mention Drift Games. They can be a bit click-baity and irritating at times, but it's hard not to respect them for what they've done over the last couple of years. Had their HQ burn down last year, lost basically everything but, by the end of the...
I've worked with them too. Manufacturers might spend huge chunks on market research, but that doesn't mean they always make good decisions. Remember Ford's Vignale idea a few years ago? Infiniti arriving in the UK and quickly disappearing again?
Don't get me wrong, there is obviously big...
Really don't get why people thought Taylor was the 'talent' on the AA channel. I always thought he came across as a bit of a bell end. He's like that one annoying c**t in your social group who spouts endless b****cks and tries to desperately to act like a lad. Pretty funny that they've basically...
That's absolutely true....to an extent. Obviously demand for faux-SUVs has exploded over the last decade-or-so, but I do think a little caution is required. After all, Ford told us that demand had dropped for the Fiesta because people were buying the Puma, but what was really happening was that...
When I heard an interview with the two from TDC, I got the sense that Alex pretty much owns them. They made it sound like they worked for him, but perhaps that was just the way it came across.
Looks alright, but wish we could ditch this silly trend of trying to make everything look like an SUV. It would look 100% better if the ride height was more sensible.
"It really impacted my mental health" is the go-to when any YouTuber/influencer gets found out for doing something dodgy these days. They play it to try and win sympathy.
Having watched the video, it seems like the guy who did the work tried to be reasonable, but it was a mistake to open...
What I don't understand about Ford is that they're releasing cars that all do basically the same job. In the last few years, they've released the Mustang Mach-E, the electric Explorer and now this Capri. They're all a similar size and all a similar price, so how are they doing anything other...
