They crop up on the uk eBay from time to time. If its the external one for a 172mk1 then its shared across many different cars, I know edde knows which ones..

Most of them do it, more so when they are new. As long as its not excessive. Try cleaning it off and see how long it takes to get oiled up again..

As mentioned above its normal, its 1.2 8v's that struggle in this weather to reach any decent temp.

Ive got the one where they are reviewing the 172mk1 and racing a saxo vts around a track.

My old 1.2 was lowered on apex springs, spax shocks and had turninis, I had no problems whatsoever.

Its a common problem, you can also take the bumper off and bend the bumper mount up a tad on that side as they are quite bendable.

You'll have to take it back off and drill a hole in it else your alarm will go off all the time (or you could tape the switch in down for now).

Breakers yard will probably let you have a tiny bit like that for free.

Isnt the wiring for the seat airbags and pretenioners different? Although it can be modified to fit. Front door cards wont fit, rears will assuming you have a 3 door.
